Christmas Shopping!!
In preparation for a work meeting, I came across this statistic:
With six weeks left until Christmas, 72% of Americans have completed less than 10% of their Holiday shopping.
Well, I am FIRMLY in that category. Faced with getting kids to school, me to work, dinner served, soccer games attended and Top Chef watched (priorities!), there is exactly zero extra time to carve out for shopping. (And I LOVE shopping!)
I'm wondering when, exactly, this is going to fit in. What should I forfeit in order to have terrific gifts for my family? Meals? More sleep? Clean clothes? Online shopping just doesn't do it for me. Where's the holiday "hustle and bustle" in that? I love being a part of the commotion...it's just a matter of finding the time to enjoy it.
If anyone has any brilliant ideas, I'd love to hear them....

Living in the country adds an extra step for - actually getting to a town big enough to have real shopping. Once a week I drive into Ft Worth for my kid's to take dance. While they are dancing, I shop. I only get one or two stores a week, but I slowly get the list completed. This year most of the tweens on my list only want gift cards anyway, so they cuts my list in half.
