Getting ready to hit the road
Everybody is worrying about gas prices these days. We're going on vacation in a couple of weeks and I'm trying to figure out the most cost-effective way of going.
I'm thinking about renting a car. No worrying about my older car making it there. Maybe it would have a flip down DVD player?
Has anyone else done this? What are the pros and cons?

I'm the mother of 2 teenagers - one in middle school, the other in high school. They're both boys, too.

Hindsight is 20/20, especially when you're on the highway and see white smoke coming out of the back of your car. Remember I was thinking about renting a car to go visit my family in Colorado?
Well, I didn't and my car is totally fried in New Mexico.
I'm really learning to listen to that inner voice.
