Milk-y Way
We're finally moving on to milk in our house. Breleigh turns 1 on Sunday (sniff, sniff) and we've decided to start giving her some whole milk.
She's already eaten yogurt and cheese and things, so I'm not worried about an allergic reaction, but what I'm more worried about is trying to get her to drink it and like it.
What were your tricks when introducing milk? How long did it take your kids to start liking milk and actually drinking enough to get some nutrition out of it?
She is still nursing once a day, and we're offering the whole milk at breakfast and lunch. She loves water (never had juice), and she tends to take a sip of the milk then sort of turn her nose up at it. Then, if you give her water, she'll gulp it down.
We're only at Day Two, so I guess I shouldn't worry. Now that I look back, I remember thinking Breleigh would never figure out how to swallow her food (that whole tongue reflex thing early on) and now she can't get enough of food!
