Perfect weight-loss plan
I lost 5 pounds in one week. Here's how I did it:
I left a perfectly fine career (journalism) that I'd been in for 12 years and switched to something so completely different (teaching). I am extremely overwhelmed, stressed out, frustrated, exhausted. There's hardly enough time in the day to breathe, let alone eat. Lunchtime (30 minutes) goes by so quickly I barely have time to scarf down a Nutrigrain bar and a banana. The distance from my classroom to the teacher's lounge and workroom is roughly two and a half football fields. I'm on my feet and moving around all day (anyone who thinks teachers sit at a desk while the students work, you're so wrong!), and on top of that, we have to dress nice, and we can't wear tennis shoes, so I'm on my feet in heels all day. Then I come home and horse around with a 4-year-old and a 9-month-old, do some laundry, do dishes, etc., and I'm too stressed out and tired to eat very much dinner. Then I'm up til 11 doing school work and preparing for the next day, which begins at 6 a.m. with getting the children up and dressed (and there's no time for breakfast), and then getting quickly to school, where I race around getting my room organized before the students start barreling into the room.
So that's my weight-loss plan. Sounds great and very healthy, huh? I wonder how much more I'll lose.
