Project: Halloween Tree
Create cute Halloween decor with a fun project that includes the kids.
Best for ages: 5 and up
Supplies (qty will depend on the size of tree used)
* Halloween themed craft tree (I found my 20" tree at TJ Maxx for $14.99)
* Glue Gun
* Scissors
* Modge Podge
* Foam paint brushes
* Halloween themed scrapbook paper (I purchased one K&C Company Designer
mat pad at Michaels $3.99ea)
* Self Adhesive rhinestones (I purchased three Darice finishing accents at Michaels $1.00ea)
* Wood shapes (I purchased one Forster Jumbo Woodsies 30 piece bag $3.99ea)
* Halloween color ornaments (I purchased two 28mm 9 piece glass balls at Michaels $1.99ea)
* Glitter pipe cleaners (I purchased one bag $1.49ea)
* Glitter Glue (I purchased one Magic glitter glue at Michaels $2.99ea)
Directions
Wood ornaments:
* Paint each side of wood, Let dry.
* Cut paper in shapes just smaller than wood shapes.
* Adhere paper shapes to wood with Mod Podge. Let dry before adding paper to other side.
* Once dry add rhinestones and glitter glue. Let dry before adding glitter glue to other side.
Wood ornament hangers:
* Cut glitter pipe cleaners in half.
* Curve pipe cleaner end to end. Attach to flat surface of wood with glue gun.
Glass ornaments:
* Cut glitter pipe cleaners in 3 pieces.
* Attach one end to ornament top.
* Curve other end of pipe cleaner to create a hook.
* Hang all ornaments on trees
Extras:
* I created (just like the wood ornaments) and hot glued a tree topper to the top of the tree.
* Add Halloween fabric for a festive tree skirt
